Who would have known 20 years ago that there would be an app for everything?
Who could have imagined 20 years ago that today we would use augmented-reality and virtual-reality?
Who thought 20 years ago that we would purchase items with crypto currencies?

The 21st Century has brought the concept of digital disruption, which has had a great impact on the market, business, but most importantly on individuals. We find Technology is a challenge and a source of strength, and therefore within KPMG in Romania we explore new approaches to digital transformation and innovation including our Graduate Recruitment Program.

1. The prize 
A research and leisure trip to Indiana University in the U.S.
Once you have passed our recruitment process and have become a KPMG employee, you (along with a KPMG professional), will be joining a working group established by KPMG in Romania in cooperation with Indiana University and KPMG U.S. The research topics will be the groundwork for new technology & innovation initiatives at KPMG in Romania. For one week, on the university campus, you will have the opportunity to meet and work with well-rounded professionals, academic experts and U.S. students. You will visit amazing places and enjoy a real American experience.

2. How to join the recruitment process 
There are two options to join our recruitment process and, hence, the contest:

  • A fast track (an interview with a KPMG Partner)
  • A normal track (via our Assessment Centers)

A) Fast track

  • Have a Facebook account with valid personal data.
  • Prepare an answer to the following question: “What’s your digital story?” Think about how you use technology in everyday life, how digitally addicted you have become, and how you, as a KPMG employee, will use technology for your personal and professional development. Be creative! It doesn’t need to be too complicated.
  • Send the contest answer and your CV via Facebook Messenger. Accepted formats: text, audio, images, video, and files (max 25MB).
  • On a monthly basis, the top 3 answers to the above question will be selected by one of the KPMG Partners for an original interview and invited to pass an online test. This test is designed to assess the KSAs – Knowledge, Skills and Attitude.
  • If you obtain a high score, you will get to the final step – Interview of a Life Time with a KPMG Partner. You will spend great time with one of the Partners during an open talk outside of the office, discovering the KPMG Story, sharing your motivation and interests. The location will be a surprise.
  • Once you ace the interview, based on your availability, and on the department you have applied for, your contract with KPMG will start immediately or later on (but no later than 16 August 2018, in order to be able to join the contest for the trip to the US).

B) Normal track

  • Send us your application. You have multiple options for application: The KPMG Career Page, other recruitment platforms, via our career e-mail address, mycareer@kpmg.ro or a friend who works at KPMG and can recommend you.
  • If your CV is selected you will get the call and an invitation to the assessment center.
  • The Assessment Centers will be organized on a monthly basis – You will pass through several evaluation activities (online test, group exercise, individual exercise, group interview). Spending a full day in our office with KPMG professionals will give you the real flavor of the junior role.
  • Once you ace the Assessment Center, you will receive a KPMG Offer soon afterwards and, based on your availability, and on the department you have applied for, your contract with KPMG will start immediately or later on (but no later than 16 August 2018, in order to be able to join the contest for the trip to the U.S).

3. How to win The Prize 
In mid-August 2018, provided that you have been employed by KPMG, you will receive your first task. By 1 September 2018 you will need to answer the following question: “What are your top 3 goals for your first year in KPMG? Write your story.”
The final winner will be selected based on a presentation you will give in front of a KPMG jury. The trip for the lucky winner is planned for mid-October, 2018.

4. Limitations 
KPMG has the right to change the contest rules, as well as cancel the contest at any time. KPMG has the right to investigate any breach of trust or fraudulent activity before announcing the winner. Non-compliance with this regulation, any fraud attempts, inappropriate behavior or language used in communication about the contest will lead to the immediate exclusion of the participant from the contest.

5. Personal data processing 

Personal data means any information relating to a participant, identified by reference to an identifier such as name, identification number, location data, online identifier or to one or more factors specific to his or her physical, physiological, psychological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.
The transmission of the information mentioned under the terms of participation in the contest is an unequivocal action from the participant, according to which he/she manifests free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent, that his/her personal data is processed under the conditions of Law no. 677/2001 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, its implementing rules and of Regulation no. (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC.

During the contest, KPMG will only collect the personal data required to determine the winner of the contest. It remains at the discretion of the participant whether he or she wishes to provide confidential information to KPMG and the participants are kindly requested to provide no information to KPMG unless they agree to its use by KPMG for legitimate business purposes and to the transfer and storage of such information in the KPMG databases, to the extent and in accordance with legal regulations into force.
