Mega Image angajeaza Senior Legal Manager
For our Legal Department, we are looking for a Senior Legal Manager to join our team.
Job content: manages and develops legal practices to support our retail activity. Understands the business and proposes solutions.
Job level within the organization: Reporting to the Head of Legal- Southeastern Europe (direct line) and to the General Manager (dotted line).
Job responsibilities are:
- Coordinating the entire legal team by supervising and reviewing the activity of the department,
- Reporting to the Head of Legal- Southeastern Europe (direct line) and to the General Manager (dotted line) about the activity of the legal department and the status of various projects during regular department meetings,
- Finding efficient and creative solutions to improve dept. activity,
- Establishing department’s strategy, long time and short time objectives and following up their accomplishment,
- Performing risk assessment for certain projects and taking decisions in terms of law compliance when implementing the projects,
- Having the decisional and signature right related to the legal activity of the company,
- Drafting, reviewing, approving and following up the unwinding of all company contracts,
- Providing legal advice and assistance in all activity fields,
- Corporate Housekeeping (changing, updating and registering the corporate files),
- Establishing and monitoring the legal budget and approving the department’s expenses,
- Being responsible for people development of the legal team in terms of providing the necessary training programs, learning materials and legal tools,
- Performs performance appraisals for the legal personnel,
- Proposes salary increases and various benefits for the legal personnel,
- Participating in Group initiatives,
- Providing legal advice for M&A projects,
- Keeping the relation with the external lawyers in terms of evaluating the accuracy of legal advice given and the correspondence with the specificity of company’s business,
- Assuring the law compliance by identifying the legal requirements according to the specific legislation related to company’s activity (retail) and following up the compliance with these requirements,
- Providing legal opinion to the Authorization Department by analyzing the inspection minutes,
- Representing the company in relation with the public authorities.
Job requirements are as follows:
- University graduated (Law University),
- Very good knowledge of Corporate Law, Commercial Law (Retail legislation it’s a plus),
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a management position in a legal dept,
- Very good English skills,
- Goal and results oriented,
- Strong diplomacy skills, with proven ability to build consensus in difficult situations and gain support in achieving goals,
- Very good communication and negotiation skills,
- Solution provider for business challenges,
- High level of “emotional intelligence” – understands what motivates people, nimble in adapting to different personalities, is firm-but-fair with people, establishes a positive tone in the department and with others that creates cooperation and improves performance/morale, recognizes outstanding results and shares success with the team,
- Empowers people by allowing them to express their opinion and listening to their ideas, by encouraging them to take decisions with impact in their work, by involving them in the decisional process at department level and in building the strategy of the department,
- Capable to work in an informal and flexible environment,
- Willingness to travel periodically within Europe and to the U.S. for meetings and project-related work.
